Here are my responses to recent resource offers
I thought I'd add another posting here to show you one way I can see using this blog. I have compiled all my responses to recent offers and will have them here for all to read.
Vanderbilt TV News Archive: I like Jim's recommendation to tell the faculty we will say no unless we hear otherwise.
WilsonWeb databases: Like Kevin, I'm also not a big fan of the WilsonWeb interface, especially when compared to the FirstSearch features and functions. So a cost savings is not enough to override this and make a switch worthwhile in this case.
Dictionary of National Biography: Agree with Betsy not to widely distribute this trial. I'm partly undecided, though I see that the online access would be a much, much better deal than the print version. I'm not worried about the 10 users, as this wouldn't be something I'd imagine would be in use constantly. My only hesitation is money. Do we actually have any to spend?
Core Collection proposal: Sounds like those would make a nice addition to our collection.
Poesis: Am I understanding that Philosophy is interested in this even if it only gives full-text access to journals that we have in print?
